'Most rock stars write a book about their life. Peter writes songs about his life....
the show was good, really good'
Adelaide Fringe Festival review, The Jade, Feb 25th 2022
“If you've ever lived and loved the nightlife, chances are, some stage during your carousing, cruising, boozing and late night losing, you'd have come across Peter Head. His self penned sublime songs and lyrics tell tales tall and true ... Head'snight time netherworld of ivory tickling in smoke filled rooms, singing wayward songs about wayward people, is unique in Australia, our very own musical journeyman; ...always laying down a magical rolling chord, a riff, a poignant lyric, a primal honed voice – frayed at the edges as it is, rasping, growling, crackling and about as soulful as it gets.”

'New Masters, Vol 1' out on all digital platforms now through The Grape Organisation.
Peter Head is as renowned for his sensational piano playing as he is known amongst the Who's Who of Australian music that he's worked with as 'Australia's ultimate gentleman of rock' and 'the hardest working man in showbusiness'.
Remarkable songwriter, soulful singer and pianist extraordinaire, Head is equally at home playing jazz standards, country, funk, blues or his own compelling originals, alone or with a band.
Peter Head was inducted in the SA Music Hall of Fame in 2016, along with his Mount Lofty Rangers, Headband and Robyn Archer.
In the autobiographical song "Old Hands" he tells it best:
I’ve played smoky halls and city nights
I’ve chased cheap thrills and coloured lights
Empty rooms and crowded bars
'How you doin’ tonight's' and 'au revoirs'
So sit right down if you’re feelin’ blue
If you wanna get lost in a song or two
You turn to me I turn to you
These old hands know what to do
So you know what to do. Get on up, get on out and go get lost in a song or two ....
Peter Head gives good music...
